Yes, it's another M15 variation...but one with more specific purpose.  Form follows function, and I enjoy how the aesthetics of this project turned out!

I wanted to come up with a close to mid range AEG with a suppressor, but I wanted to keep the overall length of the gun at a carbine length, rather than extended length due to a suppressor.  I definitely wanted to use an M15, just due to the amount of accessories
that are readily available for the M15 series.  And the Stelios was born.

The Stelios took a few "package" components apart and mixed them together, as not all of the parts needed were available seperately.  On this write-up, we'll concentrate on the external aspects of the Stelios, as the internals are fairly prosaic and can be customized depending on your preferences for power or speed.

The base model for this gun was an AR002M Classic Army M15A4 Tactical Carbine.  We replaced the plug with a mini plug and changed the large stock to an A101P Classic Army Special Forces Crane Stock.  Ultimately, you could always start with a M15A4 CQB as well, although you'll be paying for a rail system you won't be using if you are making your own Stelios.

I chose the A202M Classic Army Aluminum Quad Handguard Set because we saw that we could easily sink in a suppressor inside in a free floating style.  In order to do this, we needed the shortest barrel part which was available in the A215M Classic Army SR25 Rail System with Outer Barrel and Suppressor (111mm).  With this short barrel installed on the gun, and the Aluminum Quad Handguard set around it, the Suppressor fit in perfectly within the inner diameter of the handguard.  As a quick note, we did also try the A294M-1 Classic Army 35x110 Short Silencer, however it looked a bit "too" stubby when inset into the handguards.

The A043P Classic Army RIS Vertical Grip was a natural choice for the front, and we then added the P224P Classic Army M15 Sniper Handgrip with Low Noise Grip End.  If you shoot ambi or lefty, this grip will not work correctly for you, but if you're a righty, it's an extremely comfortable grip.  The overall length between the grips is perfect for me and the AEG just seems to float between my arms.

Another addition to the Stelios was the quick detach sling mount.  In certain environments, I sometimes find my sling binding up or otherwise getting in the way when I need quick movement.  We added the A241M Quick Detach Sling Swivel to the A197M Bipod Rail Adapter and made a tactical quick detach sling mount.  Simply pushing down hard on the button detaches the sling mount from the base in a snap!

For the sights, I went with the A190M RAS Folding Front Sight and the A182M Multi Aperture Flip Rear Sight.  No real rhyme or reason for this since people have their own preferences for front and rear sights, or scopes and scope mounts.
